Ocean Fishing Rates
Our saltwater fishing rates are based on a full day round trip out to the remote west coast of the islands.
Your trip will start out in the morning at the harbor dock in Queen Charlotte City (located in the center of town) where we load up. You will then be treated to the scenic and exiting boat journey through the Skidegate Narrows to the west coast, a trip which takes approximately one hour. Along the way you may see various wildlife such as; porpoises, seals, black bears, black tail deer, eagles, and raccoons.
After arriving on the west coast fishing grounds, we’ll get the rods in the water right away and fish the local hotspots. Nearing the end of the day you may head over to pull some prawn or crab traps for you to cook for supper, and then back to town.
Upon arriving back at the docks we will pull in to our local fish processor, Albion-Codfather, where your catch will be cleaned, filleted, and flash frozen then packaged for your trip home. Albion is a federally certified fish processing plant, to have a closer look at their operation including their rates just click on the following link: Albion-Codfather Rates.

What We Provide
With either ocean or freshwater fishing we offer all inclusive guided trips. This means we provide everything that you will need for a successful fishing adventure including top quality fishing gear, bait, and any safety gear such as lifejackets. Lunch is not included in this but can be arranged for a small additional fee.
What You Will Need
In addition to appropriate outdoor clothing, for ocean fishing you will require a current Canadian tidal (saltwater) sport fishing license with salmon stamp. For freshwater fishing, you will require a current British Columbia freshwater sport fishing license including a freshwater salmon stamp, and steelhead stamp if you are seeking to catch salmon in freshwater or steelhead. These licenses are available at most sporting goods stores, British Columbia government agents, or online at Fisheries and Oceans Canada Recreational Licensing.
Don’t forget to bring your cameras!
Other Recommendations
This is the west coast and we do sometimes get rain. The weather can change quickly and likely will through the course of a day. When on the water, some days even in the middle of summer can get cold. So bring warm outdoor type clothing that can be worn in layers. We do keep some spare rain gear on the boat but recommend you to bring your own. Water resistant footwear will also make your day more comfortable. Sunscreen and sunglasses are also a good idea for those hot bluebird days. |
